What makes you different from my bank or other brokers?

Banks and most brokers only focus on the interest rate. I focus on strategy. That means structuring your lending so you can keep growing without hitting roadblocks. My process has won awards and is backed by over 350 five-star reviews at Emerge Finance.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with professionals, doctors, lawyers, accountants, financial planners, mining professionals, self-employed business owners, property investors and developers who are serious about building wealth through effective finance strategies.

Can you help if I am self-employed or investing through a trust?

Yes. This is my specialty. I know how to structure applications for self-employed income and complex entities so the banks can see the full picture.

What information do I need to provide before we start?

As a rule of thumb, we will need your ID, income documents, details of existing loans, and a clear outline of your goals. For self-employed clients, this may include tax returns or BAS.

How often will we review my loans once they are set up?

We check your lending every six months. This ensures you are not overpaying on interest and that your structure still supports your goals.

Will you only help with one loan or my entire portfolio strategy?

I can do both. Some clients come for one deal. Others engage me as their long-term finance partner across their entire portfolio.

Do you work with my buyers agent, accountant or solicitor if needed?

Yes. I often work with buyers agents, accountants, solicitors and other advisers to make sure your finance strategy aligns with your overall plan.

My bank says they can get me a lower rate. Why should I work with you?

A low rate means nothing if the structure stops you from growing. My role is to set up finance that protects your wealth, keeps cash flow strong and lets you scale your portfolio. That is something most banks cannot deliver. But sure, stay with your bank if you do not want to grow.

Can’t I just go directly to my bank?

You can, but a bank will only ever offer you its products. They will not tell you if another lender is a better fit or if your structure is blocking future growth. I look at the full market and your long-term goals before recommending a strategy.

Do you charge upfront fees?

Brokers only get paid commission if and when the loan settles, net of any offset balances. For example, if your loan is $1,000,000 and you offset it with $1,000,000, the commission reduces to zero.

I am a specialist and a small business and just like a doctor, lawyer, accountant or financial planner, there are times you are paying for advice as well as execution. 50% of the fee is refunded once your loan settles.

For standard residential lending, there is usually no fee. However, there may be some instances where we may charge a service fee to cover any costs.

For more complex strategies such as trusts, SMSFs, rooming houses or commercial lending, a commitment fee may apply.

If there are any fees, we will have an upfront discussion about them.

Why should I pay a fee when other brokers do not charge one?

Most brokers only get paid commission if and when the loan settles, net of any offset balances. For example, if your loan is $1,000,000 and it is fully offset, the commission is reduced to zero. That is why we need to discuss fees openly.

What if my situation is too complex and I get declined?

That is exactly why clients come to me. I specialise in complex lending including, self-employed income, trusts and SMSFs. My process reduces the risk of decline by presenting your application correctly from the start.

Your service sounds expensive. Why should I pay more?

You are not paying more, you are paying smarter. A cheap broker or free service might save you a few dollars upfront, but the wrong structure can cost you hundreds of thousands in lost growth. My role is to create a strategy that saves you money and helps you build wealth over the long term which, should far outweigh any fees.

I am not ready to act right now. Should I still book a call?

Yes. The earlier we review your position, the better we can prepare you for when the right opportunity comes up. Many clients miss out on deals because their finance was not ready. Even if you are three to six months away, having a strategy in place means you can act with confidence when the time is right.
